Data Controls
Last updated: July 31, 2026
This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to the data flowing through the Packaging Support Services — call audio, transcripts, and everything the AI receptionist hears — and the controls you have over it. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
No Training on Your Calls
- We do not use the contents of your calls to train foundation models. Call audio and transcripts are used to deliver the Services to you, not to improve any general-purpose AI.
- Our upstream AI providers (speech-to-text, voice synthesis, large language models) are contractually bound to zero data retention for training purposes. Content sent to these providers is not stored by them beyond what is required to complete the request, and is not used to train their models.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified operational metrics (such as call counts, latency, error rates) to monitor and improve reliability. These do not include the contents of your calls.
Voice Cloning
- If your AI receptionist uses a cloned voice, the voice samples you upload are used only to train and maintain that specific voice for your account.
- Cloned voices are scoped to your account. We do not make them available to other Customers.
- You must obtain the voice donor's written, informed consent before uploading their voice samples (see the Terms). We will retire a cloned voice on request if consent is withdrawn.
Retention
- Call audio is retained for up to 30 days by default and then deleted. You can configure a shorter retention window in your dashboard.
- Transcripts, summaries, and structured call outcomes are retained for the life of your account so you can review historical calls. You can delete individual records or bulk-delete from the dashboard.
- Account and billing records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax and legal purposes.
- Deleting a call or your account triggers deletion from our primary systems immediately and from backups within a commercially reasonable period.
Who Processes Your Data
We use a small set of trusted subprocessors to deliver the Services. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement that restricts them to using your data only to perform the service they provide to us. Current categories include:
- Telephony carriers (call routing, SIP/PSTN connectivity).
- Real-time voice infrastructure (media streaming, session orchestration).
- Speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers.
- Voice cloning and synthesis providers.
- Large language model providers.
- Cloud hosting and storage.
- Payment processing (Stripe).
- Product analytics and error monitoring.
We can share the current list of named subprocessors on request. Contact hello@packagingsupport.ai.
Call Disclosures & Consent
- The Services can play a disclosure at the start of every call (for example, "This call is answered by an AI assistant and may be recorded."). This is on by default.
- You are responsible for confirming the disclosure meets your legal requirements. Some states require the consent of all parties to a recorded call.
- If a caller declines to be recorded, the Services can be configured to end the call or route the caller to a human line.
Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Access to production systems is limited to a small number of authorized personnel.
- We log access to Customer data and review those logs. We investigate anomalies promptly.
Exercising Your Controls
Most controls (retention windows, disclosure wording, voice selection, data export, deletion) are available in your dashboard. For anything you can't self-serve, or to request a data-processing agreement, subprocessor list, or deletion of a specific call, contact hello@packagingsupport.ai.
